|Kayaking in Kenai Fjords National Park|
Seward is the gateway to Kenai Fjords National Park; one of the most beautiful places I have had the privilege to lay my eyes on. Established in 1980, the park is known for the Harding Icefield, one of the largest ice fields in the United States, and the glacier carved fjords that stem from it. The Harding Icefield covers over 300 square miles not including the roughly 40 glaciers connected to the field. The only part of the park reachable by road is Exit Glacier and the remainder of the park is accessible by boat. Our Grand Day Trip and most of our kayak camping adventures all take place within the National Park’s boundaries.
